This marvelous villa is nestled on a hillside and overlooks the fertile Val d’Orcia while gazing at the majestic Mount Amiata. Protected to the east by a lush forest and surrounded by well-tended gardens, the property includes several hectares of vineyards and olive groves in a cozy and private area.
From the villa and pool you can admire a beautiful Tuscan landscape dotted with farms, villages and hill towns. The town of Pienza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is visible from the villa.
The origins of this structure date back to the 9th century when it was built as a watchtower on pilgrimage routes down the valley. The house was expanded over the centuries and, until 1950, housed several farming families.
The building then stood empty for several decades going into disrepair. In 1989, the current ownership began a thorough and comprehensive reconstruction project using mostly traditional materials, restoring the villa to its former glory.
We rent the entire villa for a minimum of seven nights – IN / OUT on Saturdays
